This name is of Hebrew origin and is said to mean “house of figs.” It is also a name given to girls in honor of Mary of Bethany. While I love my name, like the girl from Notebook Know How, by Aimee Buckman, I think my name leaves out that I am a lover of family, beach, children, and volleyball. To me my name also means friend, dedication, compassion, and love.
